Wilbern Building Renovation Completed

Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority is in the newly renovated Wilbern Building. The Wilbern Building was a renovation of the Newport News Housing Authority's main office, improvements included curtain wall window replacement and removal of the building's failing brick veneer. The new EIFS will provide needed insulation and an updated exterior design. The HVAC replacement involved removing the existing two pipe cooling system, including ductwork, induction boxes, and air handling units. The system was replaced with a new four pipe system, including new boiler, fan coil units, air handling units, and ductowk. The project also included interior finish work, minor renovations, and asbestos abatement of existing plaster ceilings.
