Ocean Sky Retail Center is open for summer business

The Virginia Beach landmark Viking Motel is now part of Beach history. The popular hotel with the underwater swimming pool window right on Atlantic Avenue is now gone, replaced with a two-story retail center stretching along the west side of Atlantic from twenty-seventh to twenty-eighth street. Demolition and constrution of the structure was by J. B. Denny Company, the General Contractor for the project. The Design Collaborative, Richard Fitts, is the Architect. This new attractive yellow building is already a new landmark on Atlantic Ave. The Retail facility has both sales and restaurant tenants, adding to the mix along Atlantic Avenue.
